Cycling together is more fun than alone! Can you mount child seats on the Brinckers electric bikes? The answer is “Yes!”, But note: not all models are equally suitable! Curious which bicycles are ideally suited for child seats and which seats you can easily mount? Then read this child seat # ride hack!
Not every Brinckers e-bike is suitable for mounting a child seat. A child seat fits on virtually every bicycle, but some models are less suitable. Especially if the bicycle is very sporty, then it does not really fit the character of the bicycle. You can fit a seat just fine on the following models:
Check below which seats are suitable for which model. Because the Thule Yepp Nexxt seats are by far the most sold seats in the market, we indicate per model which seat from this series fits or does not.
Front seat: these models are equipped with a front carrier. It can get in the way when you install a child seat. Without footrests, the Thule Yepp Nexxt Mini front seat fits perfectly. Your little one can then rest his/her feet on the back of the front carrier. If you remove the back of the front carrier / back, the footrests will fit.
Rear seat: you can mount the Thule Yepp Nexxt Maxi rear seat with carrier mounting on the luggage carrier. The Maxi rear seat with frame mounting does not fit.
Front seat: thanks to the thin rings under the A-head stem, the Thule Yepp Nexxt Mini front seat fits well on these models.

All Brinckers e-bikes meet the safety standard (EN: 15194) whereby a test must be passed with a maximum load of 25kg. The rear luggage rack should therefore not be heavier than 25 kg.
Note: if you want to mount a seat, take into account the maximum carrying weight! The battery and the mounting material also already weigh about 5 kg, so you cannot transport a child on the back of more than 20 kg!
Total weight = child weight + seat weight + battery weight (approx. 5 kg) + any luggage (panniers or similar)
The best and safest way is to look at your wishes together with your Brinckers dealer. Then visit one of the Fietsenwinkel.nl shops and discuss with the e-bike expert which seat ensures the most optimal and safe attachment in combination with your type of Brinckers bicycle. This way you can be 100% sure that the combination you have in mind is easy to assemble and safe.
